Your privacy.
In clear terms.
How Omnia handles information, which services help it work, and the choices available to you.
Local records. Clear boundaries.
Omnia keeps your personal logs on your device. Features such as AI capture, insights and food search also use online services. This notice explains that distinction.
Scope: this website and the current pre-release Omnia iPhone app. Omnia is not yet available on TestFlight or the App Store. The final release notice must reflect the services and controls in the version you install.
Who is responsible
OmniaTech is the brand of OMNIA TECHNOLOGIES P.C., the company developing Omnia and responsible for the personal information it processes as a data controller. This policy covers the Omnia website, app features described below, and support communications.

Information Omnia handles
The information depends on what you enter and which features you use:
- Profile and preferences: your chosen name, date of birth, derived age, goals, height, activity preferences, units and app settings.
- Wellbeing records: meals, calories and macronutrients, water, weight, workouts, body-fat and blood-pressure entries, sleep goals, habits and routines. Some of this information may reveal your health.
- Planning: tasks, notes, events, dates, times, and any locations you type into an event.
- Capture content: meal descriptions, dictated text, selected or captured food, label and receipt images, barcode values and food search terms.
- Technical information: local crash reports and the network information needed by online services, such as IP address, request time, software information and error details.
- Support: the contact details, messages and attachments you choose to send us.
You can use the current version without creating an Omnia account. Entering a name does not create an online account.
Why information is used
Omnia uses information to save and display your records, calculate summaries, organize tasks and routines, offer reminders, look up food information, and provide the AI features described below. Information you send to support is used to answer your request, investigate an issue or handle your privacy rights.
Local records are stored in the app’s device storage. Omnia’s current app does not include advertising or cross-app advertising trackers. Its AI service is not a cloud backup of your complete diary.
Where European data-protection law applies, the relevant grounds are providing the service you request, consent for optional processing where required, legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and maintaining security, and compliance with legal obligations. Health information requires an additional lawful condition, such as explicit consent. Accepting terms or reading this policy is not itself consent to share health information with an AI provider.
AI features and external processing
AI features send the relevant input through Omnia’s processing service to external providers. These can include Google Gemini and OpenAI models routed through OpenRouter. The processing service is hosted on Vercel.
- Capture: the text or image being interpreted, instructions, and relevant date/time context.
- Nutrition goal suggestions: age, height, weight, activity information, goals and the chosen timeframe.
- Weekly insights: nutrition totals and targets, dated weight trends, target weight, task-completion counts and sleep-goal summaries. In the current pre-release app these insights can be generated when the app opens, resumes or reaches a new reporting period, rather than only when you tap an AI button.
AI results return to the app and may be saved with your records. Do not include other people’s personal information or unrelated details in an image or prompt. Crop receipts and photos to the content needed for the feature.
External processing is not guaranteed to be anonymous or to have zero retention. Providers may retain content or technical records under their applicable service terms, security requirements and account settings. See Google’s Gemini API terms, OpenRouter’s provider retention information and OpenAI’s API data information. The release configuration, retention arrangements and consent controls are being finalized before public app availability.
Other services and permissions
- Food databases: food queries and barcode values can be sent to Open Food Facts, USDA FoodData Central or FatSecret. Some requests pass through Omnia’s processing service; direct requests also expose network information to the receiving service.
- Camera and photos: used to capture or select content for a feature. Images submitted for AI analysis leave the device.
- Microphone and speech recognition: Apple’s speech services turn speech into text. Recognition may involve Apple’s servers, depending on the device and service. The resulting text can then be sent for AI parsing. Omnia does not promise exclusively on-device speech processing.
- Calendar: the current integration writes events you choose to add to Apple Calendar. It does not import your calendar history. Events saved there are controlled separately in Calendar.
- Notifications: used for reminders. You can change permission in iPhone Settings.
- Apple Health: the pre-release project contains an optional integration for weight, steps, active energy and sleep, but its release availability is not confirmed. This website does not connect to Apple Health. Any enabled release must explain the requested categories and obtain Apple Health permission.
- Apple services: device backups, speech recognition, App Store purchases and any platform diagnostics you share are also subject to Apple’s settings and policies.
iOS permissions can be changed in Settings. Permission to use the camera or microphone is separate from permission to send content to an external AI service.
Storage, retention and deletion
On your device: records remain until you delete them or remove the app and its local data. Saved exports, Photos images, Calendar events and device or iCloud backups are separate copies that you must manage separately. Offloading an app is different from deleting its data.
Online requests use HTTPS. Your device’s lock and security settings help protect local records. Avoid sharing unlocked access to your device, and keep its operating system up to date. No storage or transmission method is risk-free.
Diagnostics: the app keeps crash reports locally and prunes older reports beyond its 20-report cap when it starts. You can view, share or clear reports in Settings → Diagnostics. Omnia receives a report only if you send it to us; Apple may separately collect diagnostics under your Apple settings.
Online requests: Omnia’s current processing code forwards requests without creating a diary database. This does not mean that hosting or AI providers keep no logs. Their processing and retention depend on the service, contract and settings; no fixed universal deletion time or zero-retention claim is made here.
Support records: information is kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry, follow up on the issue, meet applicable legal obligations or resolve a dispute. You can ask us about a particular record or request deletion.
See Data & Deletion for practical steps. Removing local entries does not automatically remove copies already sent to support or retained by an external service.
Recipients and international processing
Information is disclosed to the service providers identified above when needed for the relevant feature, to authorized people handling support, and when disclosure is required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal rights. We do not sell your wellbeing diary or use it for targeted advertising.
Online providers may process information outside Greece and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where applicable, international transfers require a valid legal mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards, together with any required additional protections. You may ask us for information about the safeguards and recipients applicable to your request. The final provider arrangements must be confirmed before the app’s public release.
Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, a portable copy of your information, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Some information may need to be kept where a legal exception applies.
Write to info@omniatech.app with “Omnia privacy request” in the subject. Tell us the request and the app version, if relevant. Do not send your complete health history, passwords or identity documents unless we explain why limited additional information is necessary to verify a request. We cannot remotely retrieve records that exist only on your device.
We will handle requests within the time required by applicable law, normally one month for GDPR requests, and explain any permitted extension or refusal. You may complain to your local supervisory authority or the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
AI suggestions support your own choices. The current app does not make decisions about insurance, employment, access to healthcare or other decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
This website and cookies
The interactive website tour uses fictional example records. Changes are held in page memory and reset when you reload. The tour does not connect to your app, Apple Health, calendars or AI services.
The website has no advertising pixels, analytics scripts or marketing-cookie banner, and does not offer an email signup form. Images, fonts and the walkthrough video are served with the site. Cloudflare hosts and delivers this public website. It may process IP addresses, browser details and operational security information to serve and protect the site. This website does not require an account or sign-in. Cloudflare’s services may use essential security cookies where needed; these are separate from the sample tour data. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Following an external link or sending an email brings the relevant provider’s privacy practices into effect. Contact us before sharing sensitive material.
Young people
The current pre-release app asks for date of birth and excludes users under 15. This is not a promise that every feature is suitable or available for everyone aged 15 or over. Third-party AI services can have higher age restrictions, and local consent rules also apply. Age eligibility and AI access must be aligned before public release.
Please contact us if a child’s information has been sent to us or if you need help removing it. Do not submit a child’s health information to the pre-release AI features.
Policy updates and contact
We will update the date on this page when the notice changes. Material changes to app processing should be explained in the app, with fresh consent where required. Contact us for a copy of the notice applicable to an earlier version or for clarification.
